Common questions

Do I need to prepare songs in advance?
Performers will need to prepare two contrasting audition songs. Full guidance on repertoire will be sent once your place is confirmed. Observers do not need to prepare anything.
What level do I need to be at?
This masterclass is designed for performers who are considering pursuing musical theatre training. You don’t need to be audition-ready yet, that’s what the day is for, but you should be comfortable singing and performing.
I’m not auditioning until next year, is it still worth attending?
Absolutely. Starting early gives you time to work on the areas identified during your masterclass. Many students find that understanding what drama schools are looking for early on completely changes how they prepare.
What’s the difference between Performer and Observer?
Performers (£40) take part in all group sessions and receive 20–30 minutes of individual song workshopping with tailored feedback. Observers (£20) participate in the group sessions and watch the one-to-one masterclasses, which is a hugely valuable learning experience in itself.
Does registering interest commit me to anything?
No. Registering your interest simply means you’ll be the first to hear when dates and booking open. There’s no obligation and no payment at this stage.
